What does Fleetera do?
Digital twin modeling
Create hierarchical digital representations of your physical assets. For example, a manufacturing facility contains production lines, each line contains machines with subsystems like motors, drives, and sensors. Every asset in the hierarchy can have measurement variables (data points) assigned to it — things like power consumption, temperature, pressure, flow rate, or vibration.
Industrial protocol connectivity
Connect to your equipment through standard industrial communication protocols:
- OPC UA — the most common protocol for modern SCADA and industrial automation systems
- Modbus TCP — widely used for PLCs, inverters, and metering devices
- Additional protocols — CAN bus, REST APIs, and custom integrations
Edge-to-cloud data acquisition
Deploy lightweight edge gateways at your sites that connect to local data sources, acquire telemetry data, and stream it to the cloud. Edge gateways run on standard Linux hardware and are managed entirely from the cloud platform.
Configuration management
Use a device shadow pattern (similar to AWS IoT) to deliver configuration changes from the cloud to edge gateways. When you update variable bindings or connector settings, the new configuration is automatically pushed to the edge.
