Microsoft Teams
Add a Teams Workflows notification channel and manage its webhook URL.
Fleetera's Microsoft Teams channel sends formatted alert messages to a Teams workflow. Use a workflow that receives webhook requests and posts to your chosen chat or channel.
Create a workflow
In Teams, open Workflows and choose a template that posts webhook alerts to a chat or channel. Use the When a Teams webhook request is received trigger. Choose Anyone for who can trigger the workflow, since Fleetera calls it using the secret URL rather than a Microsoft user session. Choose the destination, save the workflow, and copy its callback URL.
See Microsoft's Teams webhook instructions for the trigger and supported message formats. Keep a workflow owner with access to the destination so the flow can continue posting.
Fleetera accepts HTTPS Workflows URLs on a subdomain of environment.api.powerplatform.com and Azure Logic Apps trigger URLs on a subdomain of logic.azure.com. Handle the full URL like a password. Fleetera stores it encrypted and only shows a masked version after saving.
Add the channel
Under Notifications → Channels, choose Create channel and set Type to Microsoft Teams.
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Name | A name that identifies the destination in your routing policies. |
| Webhook URL | The callback URL of the workflow. Choose Paste to enter it, or Provisioned secret to use one Fleetera staff provisioned for your organization. |
| Include resolve notifications | Turn on to send a recovery message when an alert resolves. |
| Enabled | Turn off to skip this channel during delivery. |
Choose Create channel, then select the channel in your alert routing policy. There is no signing secret to copy for a Teams channel.
Replace the URL
Open Edit channel. The stored URL is masked. Choose Replace, enter the new URL, then choose Save changes. Keep current URL discards a replacement you have entered. Saving without a replacement retains the existing URL.
Use a provisioned secret
Instead of pasting the workflow URL, a channel can use a secret that Fleetera staff provision for your organization. Contact Fleetera support to have the URL provisioned under a name, for example ops-teams. Nobody then pastes the URL into the channel dialog.
Under Webhook URL, choose Provisioned secret and pick the name. The list shows only the secrets that fit a Teams channel. Paste stays the default. If none fits, the dialog says so, and you paste the URL instead. The channels list shows the secret's name, for example Provisioned: ops-teams.
When Fleetera staff rotate the secret, later deliveries use the new URL, with no edit to the channel. To switch an existing channel, open Edit channel, choose Provisioned secret, pick the name, and choose Save changes. Saving discards the stored URL, so to switch back you choose Paste and enter the URL again.
Test and investigate delivery
Use Send test on an enabled channel to send a synthetic message to the destination. Check the workflow run and Teams destination, then inspect the channel's delivery log if it does not arrive. Confirm the workflow is enabled, its owner still has access, and its trigger accepts Fleetera's request. A successful save only confirms the channel configuration; it does not establish delivery to Teams.
