Configuration Sync

Configuration sync is the mechanism that delivers connector and binding configuration from the Fleetera cloud to your edge gateways. It uses a device shadow pattern — similar to AWS IoT Device Shadow — to track the desired state (defined in the cloud) and the reported state (applied on the edge).

When you configure connectors and variable bindings, the platform assembles the corresponding runtime configuration. It is published to the deployment's desired state, and the Fleetera Edge Runtime on the gateway polls for changes, applies them to its built-in protocol drivers, and reports back what it is running.
