Configuration Sync
Understand how configurations are synchronized from the cloud to edge gateways.
Configuration sync is the mechanism that delivers edge device profiles and device configurations from the Fleetera cloud to your edge gateways. It uses a device shadow pattern — similar to AWS IoT Device Shadow — to track the desired state (defined in the cloud) and the reported state (applied on the edge).
When you create variable bindings, the platform generates the corresponding edge configurations. These configurations are then published to the edge gateway, where the config agent downloads and applies them to the local Fleetera Edge instance.
Device Shadow
Understand the shadow state model and how desired and reported states work.
Publishing Config
Publish configurations to one or all edge gateways at a site.
Auto-Publish
Configure automatic publishing when bindings or connectors change.
Sync Status
Monitor the synchronization state between cloud and edge.
Error Handling
Diagnose and resolve configuration sync errors.
