Site Home & Navigation
Understand the site Home page and the grouped journey navigation.
When you open a site from the sites list, you land on its Home page — the central hub for everything related to that site: its assets, variables, connectors, gateways, alerts, and settings.
Layout
Each site has a secondary sidebar on the left with grouped navigation that follows the platform journey. The active item is highlighted, and the main content area shows the selected page. A Back to Sites link at the top returns you to the full sites list.
Grouped journey navigation
The sidebar organizes a site's pages into groups that mirror how you work with a site — model it, connect it, monitor it:
| Group | Pages |
|---|---|
| Home | The site's landing page (see below) |
| Monitor | Alerts — alerts scoped to this site |
| Model | Asset Hierarchy · Variables |
| Connect | Gateways · Connectors |
| Settings | Site details, identifiers, and danger zone (pinned at the bottom) |
Home
Home adapts to where the site is in its lifecycle:
- While you are setting the site up, Home leads with a setup checklist that walks you from an empty site to first telemetry — create assets, add a connector, install a gateway, and bind variables.
- Once data is flowing, Home shows a live health strip (signals reporting, ingestion throughput, gateways online), a throughput chart, and a recent activity feed (gateway online/offline, config syncs, and more).
Monitor — Alerts
The Alerts page lists alert events for this site, with severity counts (critical / warning / info) at the top. It reuses the platform's alerts table, pre-scoped to the current site. See Alerts for full details.
Model — Asset Hierarchy & Variables
- Asset Hierarchy displays all assets in the site as an interactive tree with per-asset operational columns (status, alerts, signals bound/total, data freshness), rollups onto parent assets, and a hover peek of the latest values. You can expand/collapse branches, search, filter, and create or edit assets. See Asset Hierarchy.
- Variables shows every measurement data point across the site's assets, with their keys, data types, unit codes, latest value, and binding status. See Variables.
Connect — Gateways & Connectors
- Gateways manages the edge gateways that run at the physical site: deployment status and health, heartbeat freshness, runtime version, pending-config state, and recent ingestion. You can create gateways, copy installation commands, and publish configuration. (This section is the edge deployments for the site — see Edge Deployments.)
- Connectors lists the data-source connections for the site (OPC UA, Modbus TCP, and others) with health, binding coverage, and last-discovery status. You can create connectors, test connectivity, and browse a connector's data model. See Connectors.
Settings
The Settings page holds the site's General details (the edit form), copyable Identifiers (Site ID and Alias), and a Danger Zone for deleting the site. See Site Configuration.
Sites list
To return to the full list of sites, click Sites in the main sidebar. The sites list provides:
- Portfolio strip — fleet-level tiles across the top: total sites, gateways online, signals flowing, and active alerts
- Table view — one row per site with name, location, status, gateways (online / total), active alerts (by severity), and data freshness columns
- Map view — interactive map with markers for sites that have GPS coordinates
- Search — filter sites by name or alias
- Status filter — show only sites with a specific operational status
All filters work together and update both the table and map views in real time.
