Organization Setup

Create and configure your organization workspace on Fleetera.

After signing up, you need to create an organization before you can use the platform. An organization is your workspace — an isolated environment where your team manages sites, assets, and deployments.

Create your organization

When you first sign in after creating your account, you'll be automatically redirected to the organization setup page.

Organization name

Enter your company or organization name.

Example: Acme Industrial

This name appears throughout the platform and can be changed later.

URL alias

A unique identifier for your organization, used in URLs and API references. The alias is auto-generated from your organization name.

Format: lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only (must start with a letter)

Example: acme-industrial (displayed as acme-industrial.fleetera.ai)

You can manually edit the alias if the auto-generated one doesn't suit your needs. The platform checks alias availability in real time.

Industry

Select the primary industry your organization operates in:

This helps the platform provide relevant defaults, such as pre-selecting appropriate variable libraries and asset categories.

Company size

Select your organization size:

  • 1–10 employees
  • 11–50 employees
  • 51–200 employees
  • 200+ employees

Submit

Click Create Organization. The platform will:

  1. Create your organization in the backend
  2. Set up your workspace with default configurations
  3. Assign you as the organization owner
  4. Update your session with the new organization context

You'll be redirected to the Dashboard — your starting point for managing assets.

After setup

Once your organization is created, you'll land on the Dashboard. Since this is a fresh workspace, no sites or assets exist yet. The sidebar navigation provides access to all platform features:

Your first action should be to create a site for one of your physical locations.

Organization settings

Organization administrators can modify settings after initial setup:

  • Organization name — update your display name
  • URL alias — cannot be changed after creation
  • Industry and size — stored as metadata for platform optimization
